Meet Lauren

OWNER, GRAPHIC DESIGNER & ILLUSTRATOR

 

Born and raised in Hamilton Ontario, I've always been the creative and crafty type. I was that kid that you would find colouring, collaging, and glueing things together (my favs were googly eyes and sparkles, of course!). When it came time to select my education path, naturally, I wanted to pursue my creativity further, so I spent a few years in a Fine Arts Program at the University of Toronto/Sheridan College where I specialized my studio courses in graphic design and photography. Near the end of of my degree, I decided I wanted to make a business out of my passions, and started offering both design and photography services.

In 2014, my husband, Brendan, and I moved to Winnipeg Manitoba after he was offered an amazing job opportunity and I took this opportunity to explore, get inspired, and experiment with my business. After some consideration, I decided that my true passion was design and so in 2016, I re-branded my business to what it is now - Lauren Baker Print & Design - and began solely offering graphic design and illustration services.

A few things you should know about me if we're to work together? I could spend an eternity looking at colours and coming up with colour palettes, I live for tacos, warm sunny days, adventuring with my husband Brendan, and cuddling my cute little fur pal Ollie.
